How are programs in this directory verified?
Every listed program completed CLEATS certification, which means ATBATS reviewed its insurance certificates, coach background-check records, published refund policy, fee disclosure, and complaint process against a written standard. Listings are reviewed annually and can be suspended if insurance lapses or a complaint goes unresolved.
What do the Foundation, Standard, and Elite tiers mean?
Foundation means the program has met the baseline safety and disclosure requirements: insurance, background checks, a published refund policy, and a complaint process. Standard and Elite add deeper requirements around coach education, financial transparency, playing-time and development records, and independent review.
There are no certified programs in my city yet. What should I do?
Use the ATBATS parent tools on the programs you are already considering. Ask for the same four documents certification requires — insurance, background-check policy, refund policy, and a full-season fee schedule — and treat any refusal as an answer.
You can also send a program the certification invitation from any directory page, which is how most new listings start.
Does a listing in this directory mean ATBATS endorses the program?
No. A listing means the program proved it meets specific, published standards. It is not a judgment about coaching quality, playing time, or results, and ATBATS does not take a fee to improve a program's placement or tier.
How do I report a certified program that is not following the standards?
File a complaint through ATBATS with dates, amounts, and any written communication. Certified programs must respond through the ATBATS process, and repeated or unresolved violations can result in a tier downgrade or removal from this directory.
